³⁸ Then Jesus answered, “Will you really lay down your life for me? Very truly I tell you, before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times!^(A)

³³ A people that you do not know will eat what your land and labor produce, and you will have nothing but cruel oppression^(A) all your days.^(B)

³ He said to the Levites, who instructed^(A) all Israel and who had been consecrated to the Lord: “Put the sacred ark in the temple that Solomon son of David king of Israel built. It is not to be carried about on your shoulders. Now serve the Lord your God and his people Israel.

³¹ “Come, you who are blessed by the Lord,”^(A) he said. “Why are you standing out here? I have prepared the house and a place for the camels.”

³⁴ “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom^(A) prepared for you since the creation of the world.^(B)

¹² So Delilah took new ropes and tied him with them. Then, with men hidden in the room, she called to him, “Samson, the Philistines are upon you!”^(A) But he snapped the ropes off his arms as if they were threads.

⁸ This is to my Father’s glory,^(A) that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.^(B)

¹⁶ However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name.^(A)
